In the fall
of 1967, Angela Gonzales was asked to design a laboratory handout. In
discussing her assignment with Wilson, the two decided that what the
public needed was an image that captured the essence of the laboratory.
Gonzales' resulting design reflects the evolution of Wilson's ideas,
unifying the various magnets in the Main Ring. The logo premiered on
the 1968 Design Report. |
