PROGRESS ON ACCELERATOR STUDIES - BETWEEN JANUARY 31 AND FEBURARY 4TH, 1972 Bending and quadrupole magnets were wired into series during the first part of the week to improve tracking. Acceleration to energies three times greater than transition was achieved. Attempts to accelerate to higher energies are continuing.
