Kennedy C. Brooks

Kennedy C. “K.C.” Brooks served as head of the Atomic Energy Commission’s site office at the lab from July 1968 until June 1972, when he retired. The lab’s “Casey's Pond” is named in his honor.

His career started in 1935, when we worked for the U.S. Corps of Engineers. He began working for the AEC in 1946 and worked at Oak Ridge, Tennessee (1946-1951); Paducah, Kentucky (1951-1962); and Washington, D.C. (1962-1968).

Brooks died in 1990.
