Appointments Announced [Excerpt]
Marvin Johnson becomes associate head of the Research Services department. He joined the Laboratory in 1973 as a beam line physicist in the Neutrino experimental area; he has headed the Beam Systems group since 1975. Johnson is president of the Amoco Research Center chapter of Sigma Xi, Scientific Research Society of North America.
Johnson received his B.S. from the University of Minnesota. He was awarded the M.A. and Ph.D. from Yale University. He resides [in] Batavia with his wife, Anna Jean Slaughter, also a Fermilab physicist.
