Tom Kirk
Tom Kirk received his undergraduate degree from Colorado University in 1962 and his PhD from the University of Washington in 1967. He held a postdoc position and was an associate professor at Harvard University before becoming an associate professor at the University of Illinois in 1973. He was an experimenter at Fermilab for several years before joining Fermilab as associate department head in the Neutrino Department in 1977. He became department head in 1978. He worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory from 1995 to 2006.
